The MetroGnomes are the Atlanta Freedom Bands' stage band.  The brainchild of a saxophone quartet eager to play jazz, the group formed in September 2001 and has developed into a premier performance band in and for the Atlanta community.

Formerly known as the Atlanta Freedom Marching Band's Jazz Ensemble, the MetroGnomes have performed at numerous fundraisers for community and neighborhood organizations including Fourth Tuesday's Spring Fling, Theatre Outlanta, YouthPride, the Georgia Equality Project, and the Avondale Estates and East Point Tour of Homes.

The Metro Gnomes perform genres including Jazz, Big Band, Swing, Blues, Latin and Pop.  The Metro Gnomes are always seeking additional musicians for development and expansion of the group. If you would like to Come Out & Play with the Metro Gnomes, please contact Alex Thompson, Director.
