Upcoming Events

Join Atlanta Freedom Bands as we gather Together Again! ALL of AFB's performing ensembles will unite for an in-person concert in historic Grant Park.  Bring your blanket or chairs and a sunset picnic to the Gazebo lawn, and enjoy the last evening of Spring with fun music and renewed friendship.  The program spans the centuries from Fillmore marches to Disney and Pixar themes to rocking tunes by Queen and Lizzo!

It has been a year and half since AFB's last in-person performance, and we can't wait to see you again.  We have selected a number of fun pieces that you are sure to enjoy.  The performers include AFB's MetroGnomes Stage Band, the Atlanta Freedom Color Guard, and AFB's Marching and Concert Bands.

COVID Safety Notes

Everyone at AFB takes safety seriously during the pandemic.  The performers will be seated in a distanced configuration with separation between them and the audience.  Following the latest CDC guidance, mask wearing for fully vaccinated audience members is voluntary.  We respect and support everyone's decision to wear a mask during the event.  We will have ushers on site to assist in separating our patron groups so everyone can enjoy the show.  We will open the lawn area at 5PM on the day of the show.  Please bring your own chairs, blankets, food, and drink and take your own trash with you.

COVID At Home Self Check

In preparation for the concert, AFB asks all of its audience members to conduct the following at home self check before attending the concert.  If you answer YES to any of the following questions, we would ask that you please stay home and stay tuned for future AFB events:

  • Do you have a cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing?

  • Do you have a sore throat?

  • Do you have a fever?

  • Are you experiencing chills, muscle pain, or body aches?

  • Do you have a new loss of taste or smell?

  • Do you have new onset symptoms of nausea, diarrhea, or vomiting?

Accessibility Notes

The concert will take place outdoors in Grant Park.  A gentle, grassy slope leads from the paved walkway to the performance area. The standard complement of symphonic percussion will be in use.  A digital program will be available for download.  For accessibility questions, please email development@atlantafreedombands.com.
